SAIC is seeking Enterprise Data Modeler to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA.  Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.  All candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

As the Enterprise Data Modeler you will provide specialized engineering expertise supporting the acquisition of multi-intelligence (multi-INT) cloud-based data framework services across multiple security enclaves. SAIC's client is tasked with leading the integration of mission focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation and information sharing.  You will assist and advise Government managers to develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture to support strategic decision-making and align with mission objectives. You will also support both data modeling (creating blueprints for data organization) and data architecture (managing the overall data infrastructure).

Job Responsibilities to include:

  • Drive technical and architectural direction of data evolution roadmap that includes data ingestion, storage, reporting, MLS solutions, RBAC/ABAC access controls, security markings, and data science analytics
  • Gather and decompose requirements, guiding stakeholders to best-practices in building modern data solutions predominantly using the AWS technology stack
  • Partner directly with the application teams to propose, define, implement and track new mission solutions and technologies
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models and define data domains, propose data standards, and oversee data integration, pipelines, and access methods. 
  • Analyze structured and semi-structured data sets from a variety of sources; design, document, and manage enterprise data models and processes; and develop new data flows in support of mission analytics
  • Execute a data governance program that creates mission value from enterprise data while adhering to applicable compliance requirements
  • Apply systems analysis and design methodology assessments to identify technical debt, architectural runway and efficiency trade-offs against current and proposed/desired cloud-based software system design
  • Develop briefings and documentation material including developing technical roadmaps and the acquisition strategies/documentation to implement them
  • Support SAFe agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph
  • 3+ years of experience in data modeling and/or data architecture
  • Strong engineering background with knowledge of cloud software architecture, data management practices and IC/DOD ontologies
  • Experience supporting system architecture, design or development in an AWS/C2S environment
  • Domain knowledge in Agile software development practices
  • Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments
  • Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high-tempo environment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
