SAIC is seeking a dynamic and motivated High School Apprentice – Business Management to join our team. This entry-level role is designed for high school students who are interested in gaining practical experience in business operations, administration, and management. The apprentice will support a variety of business functions while learning fundamental skills such as project coordination, data management, and operational planning.

This role provides exposure to real-world business environments, offering mentorship, hands-on training, and the chance to work alongside experienced professionals to gain valuable foundational experience in the field of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day administrative support across various business functions, including operations, marketing, finance, and human resources.
  • Help prepare, organize, and maintain business records, reports, and documents, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Participate in meetings, taking notes and tracking assigned action items to support project coordination.
  • Assist teams with data entry, compiling spreadsheets, and analyzing information to support reports and presentations.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, or in-person interactions, ensuring professionalism and clarity.
  • Support planning and execution of team events, business activities, and special projects.
  • Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), assist with process improvements, and help ensure compliance with business policies.

Required:

  • A high school student 18 years of age, seeking hands-on experience in business or office settings.
  • Interest in business management, operations, administration, finance, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • A desire to learn, work collaboratively, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • No clearance required to start however must be able to obtain a secret clearance.  SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible hours to accommodate school schedules, with after-school and summer work options available.
