SAIC is seeking an Integration Technician for our customer site in North Charleston, SC to support MADIS (Marine Air Defense Integrated System).

Primary functions include:

Activities such as basic machining, modification, fabrication, assembly and test for metal, electrical and COTS components.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
• Will be primarily tasked with performing moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks to include cable routing, metal work installations, and technical support to integrate, install, modify, and perform upgrades in support of C5ISR systems.
• May assemble cabinets, chassis, consoles, or similar devices and install them with electronic or electro-mechanical equipment.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions
• Construct components, subunits, or simple models, adapt standard equipment, and troubleshoot system failures through various skill methods to correct malfunctions
• Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment
• Read and follow integration documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, drawings and diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions. 
• Interprets drawings, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations for fabrication; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.
• Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:
o Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis.
o Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods.
o Repeatedly manipulating and handling tools needed for installing electrical components, Mechanical parts and metal work into vehicles. Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is necessary.
o Move and arrange cable supplies and electronic equipment
 

Qualifications

Required Education 
• Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or High School and 2 years of related experience.
Required experience:
• Must have appropriate experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems.
    

Required Clearance:
• Minimum of Position of Trust 
•US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract.

Active CAC card or NIWC badge is desirable.
