SAIC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern Technical III to support our Defense & Government Services division. This role is ideal for an emerging professional with hands-on procurement, logistics, and inventory management experience who is eager to contribute to mission-critical supply chain operations supporting U.S. defense and federal government clients.

The successful candidate will assist in managing supplier relationships, processing procurement documentation, supporting material management workflows, and leveraging data-driven tools to improve supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned parts portfolios by creating Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and purchase orders, while monitoring supplier performance and resolving material shortages 
• Analyze supplier compliance records and vendor qualification documentation to support risk management processes 
• Support inbound and outbound logistics operations, including driver check-ins, paperwork verification, and warehouse organization 
• Support deployment of AI-driven tools to improve inventory management and department efficiency 
• Participate in cross-functional team collaboration to deliver actionable procurement and logistics insights 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
• 1–2 years of internship or relevant work experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders, RFQs, and supplier compliance documentation
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Clearance Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Current clearance holders preferred but not required

Preferred / Desired Qualifications

• Experience with data science tools or analytics platforms
• Exposure to AI-driven inventory and resource management tools 
• Experience working in a defense or government supply chain environment
