SAIC is seeking a Logistics Associate in Bedford Indiana to support the Small Form Factor (SFF) and Medium-Range Intercept Capabilities (MRIC) program.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will provide administrative, logistics, and data entry support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NWSC). The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency with inventory management. The ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously, knowledge of supply chain processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to take direction from seasoned team members.

Note: This role will be fully onsite in Bedford, IN. No Remote

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving to storage or production.

  • Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules and deadlines. 
  • Perform kitting of material for production.
  • Work in a team environment. 
  • Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
  • Keep excel sheets tracking information up to date daily for an accurate inventory.
  • Attend weekly meetings with team and customers while able to provide accurate inventory answers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree with 0 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or an Associate's Degree with at least 2 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or equivalent military experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD in lieu of a degree.

  • Must be able to obtain and keep a Secret security clearance; not needed to start.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and be detail oriented, multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods both working on his/her feet or at a desk.
  • Coordinate order tracking of procurements, hardware, machine shop, and cable equipment shipments.
  • Support receiving or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the main
