SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the G/ATOR program in Hanahan, SC. This position is 100% on-site with the customer.
Candidate will be responsible for the following:
Leading the development of the Next Generation Communications Equipment Group
Collaborating with a team of engineers, drafters, logisticians, production technicians, subject matter experts, and project analysts
Developing and testing solutions that satisfy customer requirements
Supporting System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events such as Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Review preparation, and System Verification Reviews (SVR)
Developing a Technical Data Package (TDP) in accordance with military specifications and ASME standards via Computer-aided Design (CAD) software (CREO & SolidWorks)
Developing Bill of Materials (BOM)
Supporting Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SME) in thermal analysis and finite element analysis (FEA)
Provide engineering guidance during initial installations
Utilizing Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), Performance Specifications (PSPEC), System Subsystem Specifications (SSS), and Hardware Configuration Items (HWCI)
Incorporating design factors in accordance with safety, manufacturability, ease of maintenance, material availability, interchangeability, customer constraints, and cost.
Developing and enhancing system operations to better streamline the drafting process.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and 9 years or more of related experience; four years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must hold a Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen
- Experience with common software and operating systems
