The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a Microsoft Power BI Developer to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Job Description
The Microsoft Power BI Developer will work with our team of IT professionals to design, develop, and deploy interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to visualize and analyze data to assist government clients with making data-driven decisions. The Power BI Developer will work with stakeholders to understand business requirements, extract and transform data from various sources, and create insightful visualizations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translating them into technical specifications for Power BI solutions.
- Developing data models within Power BI, importing data from various sources, and transforming it into a usable format for analysis.
- Designing and building interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports, using visualizations to effectively communicate data insights.
- Performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Providing support to users and troubleshooting issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Working closely with Power Platform developers and other stakeholders to deliver effective BI solutions.
- Documenting, testing, and demonstrating solutions to government clients.
Qualifications
It is required that the Microsoft Power BI Developer have the following qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- IAT II certification i.e., SEC+ or higher.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Nine (9) or more years of experience.
- Secret security clearance.
- Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, visualization, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to build dashboards and data analytics.
- Ability to perform ad-hoc analyses and created standard reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present findings.
- Skilled using Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain flexible with shifting priorities.
- Ethical and hard-working; able to perform with minimal supervision.
- US Citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or other programming languages.
- Experience with integrating different data sources into SharePoint including the use of Power Platform connectors.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
- Experience with Agile and iterative software development methodologies.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
