SAIC is seeking a Program/Financial Analyst to provide on-site project and financial management support at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Middletown, RI.  

JOB DUTIES

  • The individual will be required to perform various financial management functions as it relates to both Programmatic execution as well as Department level execution.  
  • The individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of Programmatic financial management including, but not limited to: funding document acceptance, cost tracking and monitoring, financial forecasting, budget planning and ad-hoc Department Level financial requirements utilizing various computer systems.  
  • In addition, the individual may attend meetings, track action items and interface with Government customers on a regular basis. 
  • The individual will require a government clearance and strong computer skills.  
  • Other duties may include developing miscellaneous reports, preparing assorted presentations, and assisting with the management and tracking of other project data, as required.   

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE: 

  • Bachelors and two (2) years of financial experience

     

  • Financial and Data Modeling experience, business analyst backgrounds are desired.
  • MS Office proficiency with strong MS Excel knowledge. 
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks across multiple projects. 
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen. 
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business (or related field) 
  • DoD Financial Experience, preferably NAVY Finance 
  • 2-3+ years of Navy ERP Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Understanding of financial/technical documentation
  • Must be able to operate independently, but also in a team environment and share information with others.  
  • Must show initiative and have the ability to work on multiple tasks with changing deadlines and priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions.  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and flexibility are required; the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers, and various Government and contractor personnel.  
  • Computer Skills are to include proficiency in MS Office Suite with advance skills in Excel.  
  • Must be highly motivated, and have excellent problem solving skills.
