SAIC is seeking a Logistics Deployment Analyst to provide Support in planning and implementing the seamless move of mission and people from our government customer's current location to its new location. This position will be responsible for planning and defining mission dependencies and include contingency strategies. The Deployment team is seeking a person expertly versed in deployment
 logistics associated with corporate or military relocation efforts and planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize demonstrated expertise in deployment logistics.
  • Plan and implement the seamless move of mission and people from NGA's current location to its new location. 
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of administrative issues, polices, and objectives.
  • Help develop guidance, policies, procedures, and programs to facilitate the successful workforce and mission from current to new location.
  • Create, document and execute a development plan to successfully move staff and mission from its current location to its new location without mission degradation.
  • Assist deployment team in communicating deployment process to government customers and employees.
  • Ensure employees are aware of their responsibilities and space allowances.
  • Assist in definition of transportation (moving) requirements to conduct the physical move.
  • Plan the move of special items, to possibly include (but not limited to): classified information, customer resource library, and police
     armory.
  • Create an analysis of movement priorities, and incorporate user defined mission dependencies into deployment planning.
  • Determine increment plans (i.e., the order in which organizations will move) along with contingency plans if current
     operations alter the plan so that the overall deployment plan remains on schedule.
  • Plan and implement a method to track and maintain accountability of material to include near-real time deployment information from the time the property leaves its current location until it arrives at its final office/desk location. Conduct continual reassessment and after action planning for each increment in order to improve deployment plan.
  • Take action to correct program deficiencies. Identify deployment issues and communicate solutions.
  • Prior to deployment, ensure personnel are ready to move and receiving site is ready.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI is REQUIRED.
  • Ability to obtain a CI Poly is REQUIRED.
    Bachelor's degree in logistics or in a related technical or scientific field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, management, computer science, information technology, management information system, or related STEM degree program.
  • 10 years of demonstrated experience supporting corporate or military relocation efforts and planning with similar
     complexity. Resume must articulate dates and duties performed with specific position responsibilities. In lieu of demonstrated experience prior commissioned officers or senior enlisted (E-7 and above) with certified awarding of Logistics Readiness Officers (LRO) Specialty AFSC 21RX will be acceptable.
  • 4+ Years demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, synchronizing, and executing personnel deployment and
     resource movement with similar complexity to this deployment effort. Resume must articulate dates and
     duties performed with specific position responsibilities.

Desired

  • Master's degree in logistics or in a related technical or scientific field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, management, computer science, information technology, management information system, or related STEM degree program.
  • Professional logistician certification (by the International Society of Logistics).
  • Knowledge/experience working in the Intelligence Community (IC)
