The Senior Security Analyst will be supporting a Space Force Program located in Colorado Springs. The primary function is to provide multi-discipline security support of the customer's Special Access Programs (SAPs). The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Special Access Program (SAP) activities. 

Performance shall include:
•    Provide overall SAP security administration/management and performing duties as outlined in DODM 5205.07 Vol 1 – 4.
•    Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding SAP in support of DoD sensitive activities. 
•    Provide day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems. 
•    Administering the SAP Nomination Process by processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SAP Nomination packages.
•    Perform aspects of personnel security to include nomination interviews, validation of access requirements, submission of investigative requests and nomination packages, and indoctrinations including the execution of legally binding Nondisclosure Agreements (NDAs).
•    Access an official Government system of record (SOR), e.g., JADE, Scattered Castles, and ensure personnel security records within their cognizance are accurately maintained in accordance with applicable regulation.
•    Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with maintaining appropriate accreditation documentation for each information system (IS) within the secure area under their cognizance and address any shortcomings.
•    Use ICD/ICS 705 and the technical specifications to design new secure spaces or develop modifications and construction security plans for secure areas based on their accreditation status and sponsor requirements.
•    Develop and maintain SAP Compartmented Area (SAPCA) checklists to establish/update classified work areas, including maintaining necessary waiver/approval record.
•    Preparation and maintenance of prime and subcontract DD254s.
•    Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities. 
•    Brief personnel, both in the government and contractor, on a variety of SAP security related topics.
•    Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, annual self-inspection, follow-on facility reviews, and facility close-outs. 
•    Conduct exploration of any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and generating damage assessments resulting from the loss of classified SAP information. 
•    Coordinate with government security personnel to ensure lessons-learned are incorporated into the curriculum for the SAP security education & awareness program. 
•    Provide day-to-day security administration to include, but not limited to: VARs, escort duties, document and media control, COMSEC account maintenance, document classification reviews, and security classification guidance.
•    Assist in managing the annual inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and 5years of related experience; master's and 3 years of related experience; . An additional four (4) years of experience may be applied in lieu of a degree.

·       Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of personnel, physical, and information security principles.
  • Familiarity with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICD/DCIDs and other guiding policy documents.
  • Full professional proficiency in English language and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing ability.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and Excel).
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners.

·       Required Clearance:

  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Have a current or be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CSP).
  • US citizenship required.

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
