SAIC is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with specialized focus on Discovery and Integrations, to join our team supporting the Department of Transportation (DOT)
Duties:
- Perform SMS development activities and be proficient in applying the SDLC and DevOps principles
- Perform implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development with ServiceNow
- ITSM application suite, and in identified specialty(ies)
- Perform response and resolution for SMS
Job Role:
- Perform implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development with ServiceNow ITSM application suite, and in identified specialty(ies)
- Responsible for the design of the DOT Service Management System (SMS) and supporting the SMS operations, to include engineers and the SMS development life cycle
- Determine which integration method(s) will be used, integration directionality, and attributes
- Participate in any data normalization required prior to being imported / inserted into ServiceNow
- Participate in platform, process, and integration testing
- Develop and maintain Discovery schedules, pattern usage and the role of other integrations
- Fulfill role of Enterprise Integration Manager
- Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and services
- Deliver new functionality across applications
- Manage and perform SMS development activities, supporting the entire development lifecycle
- Apply SDLC and DevOps principles
- Perform response and resolution for escalated SMS service requests and incidents
- Assist the platform administrator with incident resolution
- Participate in on-call rotation providing support during non-business hours (nights, weekends, holidays). Shift includes: Rotating On Call
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- 12+ years of relevant IT experience, including at least 6 in administration services for a major Service Management System (SMS), preferably ServiceNow
- Candidate must be proficient with Discovery and Integrations
- Current ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery (CIS-Disco) Verifiable Certification is required
- Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years and the ability to obtain a public trust
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years of experience in lieu of degree)
- Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and Integrations
- Experience with the SNMP technologies that support Discovery Patterns
- Experience with SOAP/REST-based API integrations
