Position: Computer Engineer III
SAIC is seeking a Computer Engineer II to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This position is responsible for performing Threat Load Development on the Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (JCREW) family of electronic jamming systems designed to protect military personnel. The JCREW system is a multi  - form factor system used by the U.S. and our allies to counter both unmanned aerial systems and improvised explosive devices. The ideal candidate will be supporting the design, development and execution of complex systems as well as test and evaluation procedures. You will be working onsite in a fast paced and dynamic environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential. Must posses current SECRET clearance and eligible to obtain TS/SCI.
Responsibilities:
Computer Engineer III will be responsible for the following:
·         Develop, test, and maintain software code and components based on defined requirements and design specifications
·         Participate in the full SDLC, including coding, unit testing, integration, and defect resolution
·         Support system integration and Developmental Test (DT) activities
·         Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
·         Contribute to technical documentation (design descriptions, test procedures, user guides)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems engineering, cybersecurity, T&E)
·         Follow configuration management and version control processes
·         Implement secure coding practices and support RMF-aligned requirements
 

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • 3 -6 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python)
  • Experience in Agile or iterative development environments
  • Applies standard principles and practices
  • Works on defined tasks with some independence
  • Requires limited guidance for complex issues

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
