SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the FPAC technology roadmap to migrate applications to the cloud. The Systems Administrator will provide overall systems support in a multivendor/multiplatform environment. As part of a team under general supervision the position manages and integrates cloud computing and IIS systems. This person will provide timely, accurate, and courteous support to internal and external customers, and will support monitoring, maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting, software and OS installation/configuration, and automation scripting. It is a fully remote role and can be worked from anywhere in the United States.
Job Duties:
- Interface with multiple government agencies/vendors within USDA to support FPAC initiatives and operations
- Support the migration of FPAC applications and services to AWS
- Manage and maintain current/future Operating Systems (OS) in virtual operating environments
- Publish and review Vulnerability Management scan results to enable actionable tasks supporting mitigations as part of achieving system certification and accreditation
- Assist in patching and upgrading all computer systems and applications to support remediating/mitigating system vulnerabilities
- Develop, build, and deploy MS Group Policies in support of operational and security requirements
- Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production
- Manage certificate lifecycle to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Document and address any System related POAMs
- Support CI/CD efforts in alignment with customer needs
- Respond to and resolve system or application outages or degradation in accordance with customer expectations
- Adhere to FPAC policies for incident, request, and change management
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors and 2 years of related experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a USDA Public Trust requiring US Citizenship
- Knowledge of information system security principles
- Experience with vulnerability management practices
- Experience with virtualization and knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V
- Experience with Windows Server OS, SCCM, PowerShell, IIS, Certificate Management
Desired Skills
- AWS EC2 experience
- Certifications: MCP, MCSE, MCITP, CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+, ITIL, Linux+, DevOps, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Terraform Associate, Puppet Certified Professional
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
