SAIC is looking for a Waveform Integration and Test Environment Operator. This position will be responsible for onboarding new digital waveform designs for cutting edge performance to meet unique customer requirements.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
- Provide specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. From an information technology perspective, must be cognizant of architecture layout, power & cooling, data storage, network management, backup, monitoring, operating systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.
- Utilize assignment prioritization to execute and complete projects. Flush out direct and implied customer objectives to determine optimal scheduling glidepath for operational success.
- Maintain situational awareness of product development tempo amongst and between vendors to create synergistic outputs that lead to timely solutions; minimize schedule delays.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in STEM or Non Stem and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with active/current Polygraph
15+ years of telecommunications/communications experience as an operator/instructor/evaluator
Experienced in radio frequency theory and device application, digital signal processing and waveform design, satellite communications, navigation (GPS), and radar theory
Possess a broad range of skills and a breadth of knowledge in several IT disciplines including systems and enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering, interface protocols, and general problem solving skills
DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification is desired
If candidate does not have IAT Level II certification, they must obtain IAT Level II certification within 3 months of hire
Examples of IAT cert: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCPy
Solid working knowledge of telecommunications, satellite communications, computer networks, infrastructure technologies and standards such IEEE, EIA/TIA
Experience Interacting with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects is required
Experience meeting scheduling requirements and making contractual clarifications
Experience leading technical exchange meetings with internal and external representatives
