SUMMARY:
The Manager of Education Programming is a skilled instructional designer that creates the agnostic education programming for SalonCentric. This Manager will design brand agnostic content and curriculum for SalonCentric professional education offerings including digital classes, bite sized learnings, in-store classes, student programming, events and shows across all disciplines within the beauty industry. This Manager is a master facilitator and will execute train the trainer classes to upskill and prepare artists and educators in the delivery and facilitation of the SalonCentric education programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research, curate, and design content for licensed beauty professionals under the SalonCentric Brand.
• Schedule, manage and deploy a team of contract and/or internal educators.
• Support Director on setting expectations, progress and productivity of educators and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and industry professionals to gather insights, trends, and best practices to incorporate into educational materials.
• Create engaging and interactive learning experiences, including video tutorials, written guides, webinars, workshops, classes and curated collections of resources.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry advancements, techniques, and tools to ensure the educational content remains relevant and cutting-edge.
• Conduct thorough assessments of educational materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with industry standards.
• Update all materials yearly and maintain education inventory to current standards.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of educational programs based on feedback and data analysis.
• Train educators and artists on the SalonCentric programming and facilitation standards.
• Work cross functionally and collaboratively to ensure the smooth execution of all SalonCentric education.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Education or GED required
• Must be a licensed beauty professional.
• Provide a portfolio.
• Min 5-7 years' experience in training and education, beauty industry experience preferred but not required
• Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational content creation.
• In-depth knowledge of the beauty industry, including hair color techniques, hair trends, and business strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
• Strong research and analytical skills to gather and synthesize information from various sources.
• Technologically savvy, with experience in leveraging digital platforms and tools for educational purposes.
• Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and develop unique approaches to education.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry advancements.
• Other duties as may be assigned by Director.
• Must be able to travel 25-50% and work weekends as necessary to attend and participate in divisional and/or industry meetings and events.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of management and employees for success.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
• Ability to retain confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to sit and use normal office equipment (phone, computer etc.) more than 80% of the day.
