ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Follow guidelines carefully when completing this section to ensure ADA compliance.)
Oversee the work of other hourly partners performing operator and general labor duties.
Perform the operation of the cream cheese delivery systems and adapting these systems to meet the packaging schedule in standard and non-standard situations.
Setup and operate all cream cheese packing machines and various code dating equipment, when necessary.
Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble all packaging equipment including pumps, homos and chillers, and documentation, as required.
Perform problem troubleshooting, do repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Coordinate the flow of cheese delivery to the packaging room systems and the batch room to effectively fulfill the packaging schedule.
Monitor product and packaging for quality requirements by visual examination, weight checks, and examination of packaging components.
Provide documentation of production rates, weight checks, and downtime. This requires a knowledge of basic math, including & and decimal placement.
Provide a detailed pass down to the oncoming relief.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Occasional duties not included above.)
Assign partners to work stations optimizing available labor.
Assign partners to other activities when packaging lines are down.
Oversee the training of new packaging partners and/or operators.
Monitor the work of mentors and the quality of the process.
Assure that operators are completing assigned paperwork.
Implement partner breaks with available personnel.
Prioritize shutdown of packaging lines for breaks when no personnel are available.
Monitor compliance in following GMPs, safe work practices, and the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment – discuss with partner and report any issues to supervision.
Complete other tasks, as assigned, by TA.

Communicate to TAs & Process Coordinators the overall operational issues and problems.
Maintain open lines of communication with batch room, lab techs, and separator room operators. Must have good communication skills as well as be a team player. Must work well with others. Work with maintenance mechanics on timeliness of downtime.
Maintain overall production at a pre-determined hourly rate monitoring compliance to customer specifications.
SPECIFIC SHIFT FOCUS
Perform CIP, COP, and various cleanup functions on all cheese delivery systems and packaging equipment, when necessary.
Prioritize the distribution of the balance of the cheese to best fulfill the packaging schedule.
