The Machine Operator supports safe, efficient production by operating and maintaining processing and packaging equipment on assigned production lines. This role follows standard operating procedures to ensure food safety, product quality, accurate documentation, and reliable line performance. This Position is primarily responsible for to produce best quality UHT products as per customer requirement and organization standard by utilizing manufacturing tools like process skill, GMP, HACCP and ISO.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Operate and monitor production and packaging equipment to support overall line performance.
  • Perform machine setup, changeovers, and teardown activities to support production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Execute routine cleaning, tray and tub emptying, and equipment sanitation to maintain operational readiness.
  • Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and minor maintenance activities following lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
  • Assist with color, size, and style changes and remove product as required during changeovers.
  • Conduct required Process Control Points (PCPs), Critical Control Points (CCPs), and other quality and process checks and record data accurately.
  • Test metal detectors at required intervals and document results in accordance with procedures.
  • Operate assigned equipment systems and perform daily TPM tasks, including filter changes and inspections.
  • Read and interpret production orders and remain flexible to meet changing customer and production requirements.
  • Identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), housekeeping standards, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Follow established reaction plans for food safety, quality, and customer requirement deviations.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • B. Tech/ M. Tech Dairy Technology/ Dairy Science/ IDD
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in relevant field (UHT)
  • Sound knowledge of UHT processing principles (temperature–time control, aseptic processing),Hands-on experience operating Tetra Pak UHT and aseptic filling machines.
  • Understanding of CIP/SIP cycles, sterilization, and changeover procedures. Ability to monitor and control critical process parameters to ensure product safety and quality.
  • Ability to use process monitoring tools, check sheets, and control charts.
  • Skill in recording batch/process data accurately as per SOPs.
  • Awareness of process deviations, corrective actions, and escalation protocols.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and loss reduction concepts (desirable)
  • Ability to learn and operate production and packaging equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail related to food safety, quality, and data accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours, including overtime or weekends as required.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting, standing, walking, and bending.
