Earn up to $28.77 an hour in 24 months

8 Hour Shifts (C): Monday- Friday, 3pm-11pm

Job description:

Pay Scale:

Starting wage: $23.58

24 month top out: $27.77

Shift differential: additional $1.00

Responsibilities:

  • Properly receives and warehouses incoming new material products such as pallets, cheese, ingredients, cases, packaging materials, etc. Any materials required to support the production lines of the plant will be part of this job duty and responsibility. 
  • Will assemble same products for utilization on the production lines. 
  • Meeting the requirements of your customers will be a top priority of this position. 
  • Utilization of computerized terminals to assist with the handling of these products will be required.

Primary - Essential Functions:

  • Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety.
  • Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position.
  • Perform all PCP and CCP checks required for position.
  • Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL. 
  • Be able to identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation and product. 
  • Record accurate data on production reports.
  • Moves product or material to the appropriate location within the cooler, warehouse or production line.
  • Maintains proper rotation of products within the bulk cheese, finished goods and dry storage warehouses.  Assembles customer orders by established identifiable methods, such as: stock number, lot and sub number or prime number.
  • Safely operates power equipment within a confined cooler, warehouse, or production work environment. 
  • Reports necessary maintenance requirements on facilities and equipment.
  • Responsible for equipment used.  Power equipment TPM that includes computer hardware.
  • Will share with other, responsibility for housekeeping and sanitation standards within worksite assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by TL/TA.
  • Work OVERTIME AS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE PRODUCTION LINES.
  • Your job assignment may vary from cooler/warehouse location daily.
  • May be required to work in a cooler environment in a significant amount of time.  In that case, adequate clothing will be provided.  Normal warehouse working conditions majority of the time.
  • Must be able to become power equipment certified and keep that certification current and on going.
  • Ability to read and write legibly.  Proficient in math skills that will allow you to accurately process customer orders.  Any raw materials required to produce product will be included in your supply requisition to the lines.
  • Must be viewed as a team player by partners in a current work area. Again, this job is focused towards meeting customer requirements in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to learn and operate computerized data entry systems such as the MFCS system, the Prime system and the soon to be developed bulk bar coding system. Also will include simple computer keyboard entry.
  • Be prepared to fill in from time to time on "B" or "A" shift or wherever support for the Materials Handling department is needed.

This job requires a 2 year bid commitment.

  • Chair to floor – 10-50 trash cans, cheese boxes, ingredient bags
  • Push/Pull – 10-40 (O) trash cart (C) push on stacker controls, push barrel hoist
  • Carry – 15-25

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have the ability to read, understand and follow written procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language is required.
  • This job may require you to operate an electronic pallet jack and/or a forklift and work in cold and/or hot conditions.
  • This position requires passing a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen.
