Description

Serve the Finishing Department in a supervisory capacity by continually monitoring the appropriate shift operations 

Essential Duties:

  • Act as a liaison between the Finishing Department Manager and associates.

  • Monitor shift on the basis of safety, quality, efficiency and production.

  • Ensure associates are following procedures. 

  • Direct activities of associates on shift.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Minimum one-year experience required with carpet process methods with no disciplinary actions in personnel file for past year.

  •  Prior Lead or Supervisory experiences. 

  • General knowledge required of various types of carpet and quality standards.

  • Excellent people and communication skills both written and verbal in English and Spanish. 

  • Computer literacy helpful and math skills required.

  • Willing to work any shift, as needed and including weekends.

  • Follow Lockout Tagout requirements based on Cal OSHA and Shaw Safe Program.

  •  Ensure safety of associates and Lead safety efforts for the shift.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent: Climb, depth perception, handle, hearing, manual dexterity, lift 20-50 lbs., reach, sit, stand, stoop, and walk. 

  •  Use personal protective equipment.

  • Occasional: Balance, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, and speak. 

  • Required: Close vision, and be able to differentiate color, and texture.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Work in a general industrial environment. 

  • Conditions:  background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations. 

  • Work near moving mechanical parts.
