Inventory Specialist: Depot Repair

1st Shift

Position Summary:
To support SIG SAUER Customers with the highest level of service. The Inventory Specialist is a supportive role that ensures inventory requirements are met to make certain parts and are available to repair customer owned firearms, and other needs of the repair depot.

Position will be responsible for managing an extensive and evolving inventory that supports both new and discontinued Sig Sauer firearms and accessories. Responsibilities include, performing cycle counts, confirming inventory positions, understanding demand, requesting, receiving, and stocking inventory. Position requires attention to detail, operational integrity, excellent communication skills. In addition, this position will require knowledge of Oracle, Agile, and Microsoft Excel. Position requires daily communication with supervisor and leads, technicians, supply Chain, planners, customer service, online store representatives, engineering, and quality groups.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
*Request, receive, and stock inventory needed to support service repairs and elective services for Sig Sauer customers.
Perform cycle counts.
*Maintains working log of parts ordered, received, and other information needed to ensure demands and request have been met and received.
*Create reserve inventory labels and maintain bins for all parts.
*Identify inventory positions and reorder points.
*Identifies inventory demands for new product releases.
*Maintain stock levels.
*Create and maintain labels for bins.
*Store inventory in a manner that is safe and protects from rust.
*Participates in inventory projects and reorganization projects as delegated by supervisor.
*Orders tools and supplies.
*Helps identifies errors with nonconforming inventory and counts. Work with supporting warehouses, quality, supply chain to resolve issues.
*Assist technicians and all other staff with questions or concerns with inventory needs.
*At times position provides backup to coordinators.
*Researches, identifies shortages that result in repairs delays and communicates findings with group.
*Participate in daily meetings.
*All other duties assigned.
*Regular onsite attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
*Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
*Participates in and sustains 5S Standards.
*May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
*May be required to work overtime, or alternate shifts based on business needs.
*Must be able to read and understand directions and work instructions in English.

Education, Experience, and Required Skills:
*High School diploma or equivalent.
*Experience with Microsoft office, Word and Excel, Oracle, Agile.
*Work Experience 3 years.
*Experience using and maintaining firearms is preferred.
*Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Ability to work in a team environment, share information, respect and assist other team members.

Working Conditions:
Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
Regularly perform repetitive tasks
Work is primarily standing (50% of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing area where frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts, containers, and materials up to 30 pounds.
Must follow all required ISO procedures, comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements, and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
