Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with DoD Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or another equivalent field
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition lifecycle and related documentation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Government Finance and Acquisitions or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Navy or DoD acquisition systems (e.g., Navy ERP, ETMS2, PIEE, SPS/PD2) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired Qualifications:

  • DAWIA contracting (professional) certification
  • CFCM/CCCM/CPCM certification
  • Experience supporting Navy SSP, other Navy program offices, or DoD acquisition program


Responsibilities

Contract Acquisitions Specialist – Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), SLCM-N

The Contract Acquisitions Specialist will support the Navy's SSP Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program by providing on-site contractor support for contract proposal development, contract modifications, execution, and general program office support activities. The specialist will work closely with the government contracts team, technical leads, and program management staff to help develop acquisition strategies, support contract documentation preparation, and ensure timely and compliant contract execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and coordination of acquisition documentation (e.g., Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, Justifications and Approvals, Determinations and Findings).

  • Support the drafting, review, and submission of procurement packages and contract modifications.

  • Track contract actions and provide status updates to leadership.

  • Collaborate with technical leads, financial analysts, and program managers to ensure alignment across functional areas.

  • Interface with contracting officers and other government stakeholders to facilitate timely and accurate contract execution.

  • Contribute to program meetings and briefings by providing acquisition updates and recommendations.

  • Support compliance with relevant DoD acquisition regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and Navy-specific policies.

Work Location:
This is an on-site position at Maritime Plaza in Washington, DC. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a rapidly growing and high-tempo program office environment.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range: $100,000 - 160,000.
