The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

 

SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

 

We have an immediate need for an Intelligence Community (IC) Liaison to provide onsite support out of Arlington, VA.


Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for fostering the crucial link between DARPA and the Intelligence Community (IC). Key responsibilities will involve leveraging a comprehensive understanding of IC structures to identify and secure essential resources for ongoing DARPA projects and to proactively plan strategic engagements with various partner agencies. To ensure the effectiveness and health of these vital partnerships, the role will also substantively contribute to the management of the partnerships, from tracking joint accomplishments to coordinating future efforts and ensuring seamless operational support. Requires occasional local travel; however, extensive travel is not a requirement, and telework is not an option.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Familiarity with IC elements, missions, and processes
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility
  • Good rapport at dealing with the public, customer service expertise, excellent oral/written communication skills, and excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests, and proficiency with modern PC systems and tools
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs

Desired: 

  • Experience working with or within NSA and/or DIA
  • Experience working with or within Headquarters DoD, Military Service, or Combatant Command
  • Working knowledge of DARPA and DoD policies and procedures
  • Ability to translate IC needs, articulate capability gaps, and discuss current and projected Acquisition Programs within the IC
  • Strong ability to operate independently while keeping a team informed
