The Intelligence Programs Group (IPG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community. Responsibilities SPA has an immediate need for an MBSE System Engineer to provide Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) support within the Space Remote Sensing Domain in accordance with the labor qualifications outlined in the GREY HAVEN Statement of Work (SOW). The GREY HAVEN program is tasked with coordinating, integrating, and executing advanced modeling, simulations, and technical analyses. These efforts deliver recommendations and technical assistance in support of the customer's mission objectives. The selected candidate will play a critical role in achieving these goals. To engineer increasingly complex systems and capabilities, the government is transforming legacy systems engineering methods and processes. Central to the transformation is the adoption of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as the means to manage complexity, increase engineering quality, and ultimately drive cost and schedule efficiencies into the acquisition process. Key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following: Participate in teams that help drive the adoption of MBSE in both customer and company domains. Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using MBSE COTS tools. Apply systems engineering modeling methodologies to develop mission models. Integrate enterprise tools and develop MBSE-based processes to support requirements engineering, the customer's ERB process, CONOPS, and architecture development, Risk, Issues, and Opportunity Management boards, schedule management, test and verification strategy development, and system integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities. Facilitate collaborative meetings between the MBSE modelers and stakeholders to deliver mission needs and help innovate potential solutions. Provide technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with Poly and ability to crossover successfully with the supported client BS/BA in Engineering, Physics, Programming or related degree and 2-5 years MS/MA in Engineering, Physics, Programming or related degree with 0-2 years Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of UML / SysML modeling languages and experience applying this common structure to an MBSE solution Demonstrated knowledge of industry MBSE tools to successfully produce systems engineering models Demonstrated knowledge of Architecture modeling tools Knowledge of standard DoDAF architectural frameworks to include UPDM and/or UAF Experience with systems engineering processes in support of system life cycle development Basic knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering Demonstrated communication skills especially with tools developers and senior government officials Commitment to recognize, understand, respect, and operate effectively with various SETA, FFRDC, and the ability to lead and influence Strong business acumen; ability to relate professionally in the work environment with customers and colleagues Responsible and reliable; follows up on actions and the ability to multi task Reports to designated work location in Chantilly, VA, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with IBM's Rational Tool Suite, or DOORs Next Certified in one or more of the following: SAFe, OMG OCSMP, INCOSE
