The Strategic Technology Analysis Group, part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters. SPA has an immediate need for a Project Management, Acquisition, & Technical Advisor.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide program management, acquisition, and technical support. Will coordinate technical, operational, and acquisition activities across stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of mission-focused initiatives. This role emphasizes program execution tracking, acquisition support, software development oversight, and the development of concise communications to inform senior leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong DoD program execution experience, a background in software development, familiarity with acquisition processes, and the ability to translate technical efforts into actionable outcomes.
- Project Execution Support:
- Coordinate day-to-day program activities to align technical efforts, schedules, and mission objectives.
- Support Program Manager in tracking execution progress, managing dependencies, and mitigating risks.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules, milestone trackers, and action item lists.
- Prepare program documentation, execution plans, and leadership briefings.
- Coordinate program reviews, working groups, and technical exchange meetings.
- Acquisition Support:
- Support the development and implementation of innovative acquisition strategies and plans.
- Assist in the preparation of acquisition documents, such as Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and contract modifications.
- Monitor contract execution and performance, ensuring deliverables meet program requirements.
- Facilitate communication between the program office and contracting activities.
- Test & Demonstration Execution:
- Support planning and execution of test and demonstration events across multiple stakeholders.
- Assist in development of test objectives, execution plans, and evaluation criteria.
- Coordinate participants, logistics, scheduling, and site requirements.
- Track demonstration outcomes and capture lessons learned.
- Support transition planning following test and demonstration activities.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination:
- Facilitate coordination among government stakeholders, performers, and operational partners.
- Track action items and ensure alignment across technical and operational teams.
- Develop executive briefings and status updates summarizing progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Provide clear communications to support leadership decision-making and program alignment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of SCO-like Acquisition experience supporting DoD R&D, acquisition, or technical programs
- Demonstrated experience with the software development lifecycle, methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps), and best practices
- Experience coordinating program execution across multiple stakeholders
- Experience supporting test events, demonstrations, or operational evaluations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive briefing development
- Ability to report to designated work location in Chantilly, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting rapid prototyping or advanced capability development programs
- Background in systems integration, operational testing, or demonstration planning
- Familiarity with DoD program management and acquisition processes (e.g., DoD 5000 series)
- Experience with modern software development tools, languages, and cloud environments
- Familiarity with DoD software acquisition pathways and policies (e.g., Software Acquisition Pathway, DoDI 5000.87)
- Experience operating in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
