The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. 

Group W provides wargaming, warfare modeling and simulation, software development, data analytics, and operations research/system analysis support to the national security mission. As a leader in the fields of campaign, mission, and wargaming analysis we embrace the cycle of research paradigm, continually seeking to improve the multi-method application of tools, data, methods, and techniques to generate credible and resilient insights to inform decisions on the Department's most challenging issues spanning CONOPs, acquisitions, force structures, tactics, and strategies. Group W is the developer and maintainer of the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM), the authoritative M&S tool accepted by the Joint Analytic Community for analysis of theater-level, multi-domain, joint warfare. Similarly, we developed and manage the Standard Wargame Integration and Facilitation Tool (SWIFT) for OSW as an adaptable environment to support joint force combatants' wargaming requirements. 

We have an immediate need for a Senior Technical Advisor to provide limited part-time (LPT) support to program managers on project execution, support program management engagements with contracting office representatives, and other efforts as assigned to ensure the health and success of the contract. This is a hybrid position based in Alexandria, VA


Responsibilities

SPA seeks an experienced Senior Technical Advisor with intimate knowledge of Group W contracts and clients to work with a team of program managers. Will apply familiarity with Group W business areas and opportunities. The Senior Technical Advisor will apply a highly actionable knowledge base at the intersection of program management, DoW acquisition, and DoW contracts to foster creative ideas and guide program managers to success. The Senior Technical Advisor is expected to train, advise, and assist program managers, engage in program management activities, support group pipeline development, and contribute to the success of the contract.  


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • 20+ years of experience supporting the acquisition of new business providing high-level strategic, operational, and tactical support.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting Group W program management activities, business development, and contracts.
  • Active DoW Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to support meetings and engagements throughout northern Virginia.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience in proposal development.
