Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
- Eligible for a DoD Secret security clearance
- Minimum twelve (12) years of demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to one or more of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Naval Architecture
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Research, Development, Test, Engineering, or Integration related to shipboard systems
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated senior-level Topside Engineer to provide critical Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) / Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) support for NAVSEA's Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) portfolio in Dahlgren, VA.
For this critical work, we are looking for a proactive senior engineer to provide expertise in development and management of system performance requirements; ship operations (including Safety, HM&E, Structural, Vulnerability, Physical Clearances, Navigation, Navigation Lights, Exhaust and Intakes, RADHAZ, Environmental, Shock and Vibration, Combat Systems, and System coverage); deck operations (including Replenishment at Sea, Line Handling, Ordnance, Small Boat Operations, Man Overboard, Damage Control); aviation signatures, and EMI/EMC.
You must have the ability to work from NSWC Dahlgren 4-5 days per week on average.
