Intrepid is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to support a government product office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with a focus on component integration into the system-level architecture. In this role, you will be the product office's primary representative across a wide range of software and systems engineering-focused stakeholders. Responsibilities This role involves coordination with the prime contractor on software development and integration plans for system capabilities, as well as collaboration with weapon, sensor, and PdO teams to identify software and interface requirements necessary to support the integration of components into the existing system architecture. Responsibilities include participating in and leading software development working groups, managing and contributing to design reviews, software design reviews, design document reviews, and system tests. The position also requires identifying resource needs for software engineering and integration activities, developing associated budgets and plans, and creating schedules for software engineering, development, and integration tasks. Additional duties include supporting and coordinating contract actions related to software engineering, development, and integration efforts; identifying, documenting, and communicating software risks associated with product development and integration; and preparing and presenting technical briefings to multiple levels of government organizations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Qualifications Required Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a STEM field 3 or more years of system engineering or related experience Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset Experience with Jira and Confluence Software/systems engineering background Test Support experience (HWIL/SIM/Lab Testing) Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various levels of workers/leaders An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment Desired Qualifications: Experience with software systems engineering is required, and software engineering in an Agile methodology is highly desired SAFe© Agile experience is a plus Software development experience in support of DoD programs, especially in the Army Air and Missile Defense program
