The Joint, Office of the Secretary of War, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of War, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. 

The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within the Department of War (DoW). These clients include the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future. 

We have a future need for a Sr. ISR and Space Control Analyst to support the C4ISR and Space directorates within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management (DASW(SSIPM)). This role is located onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. 


Responsibilities

The Senior ISR and Space Control Analyst will help DASW SSIPM bridge the gap between C4ISR acquisition portfolios and the Space Control/Space Operations portfolio. We are looking for an individual interested and experienced in both domains with the ability to coordinate with stakeholders and senior leaders. Initially, you will primarily support the C4ISR directorate and then shift more to a role bridging C4ISR and Space. You will support the Department's efforts to manage the acquisition of new capabilities and the sustainment of legacy systems via technical reviews, working groups, and supporting Integrated Acquisition Portfolio Reviews. 


Qualifications

Required: 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with either DoW C4ISR or Space Control/Space Operations 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Experience with the DoW Acquisition System and/or ICD 801 acquisition processes 
  • DAWIA/DAU certification in Program Management 
  • Experience supporting senior leaders at the OSW, Joint Staff, IC, or senior Military staff level, with the ability to work both independently and in teams 
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficient with MS Office tools 
  • Active TS/SCI clearance 
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
