The SLA Analysis Group's mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments.
SPA has a need for Systems & Infrastructure Administrators to operate, maintain, and improve the environments that host APACS and Foreign Clearance Program‑related capabilities. These roles ensure mission systems remain available, secure, performant, and scalable across multiple environments and classification levels.
Responsibilities
- Manage servers, environments, and configurations supporting APACS and related systems; perform monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Support deployment of application updates and maintain development, test, and production environments.
- Evaluate infrastructure health and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and capacity.
- Work with developers, cybersecurity staff, hosting providers, and system administrators to resolve issues and optimize system behavior.
- Analyze system performance metrics and incident trends to identify root causes and long‑term solutions.
- Document system architectures, configurations, procedures, interfaces, and dependencies to support continuity, onboarding, and leadership visibility.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 4–8+ years of experience administering enterprise IT environments (servers, storage, networks, virtualization, or cloud)
- Ability to troubleshoot performance and availability issues in multi‑tier applications
- Familiarity with structured change and configuration management practices
- Secret clearance and the ability to maintain this throughout employment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting mission‑critical DoD systems, DISA‑hosted environments, or large web applications
- Knowledge of hybrid‑cloud architectures, high‑availability designs, or case‑management platforms
Pay Range Information

Elements of the compensation package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, etc. Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $130,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000.00/Yr.
