Job Title Data Operations Manager​

Location Kansas City/ Hybrid

Get To Know The Team: 

The SS&C WalletShare suite of services has experienced a high rate of growth over the past several years. In order to provide additional value to clients the team is going to streamline and automate the data production cycle to provide more frequent data to clients.  This new key role of Data Operations Manager will lead the transition and automation of existing processes across the team and continue to refine and improve processes for all existing and new services in the WalletShare suite.    

  

  • What You Will Get To Do: 

  • Own the processing of data for the existing WalletShare services and additional services as they are developed as a critical member of the WalletShare business team 

  • Manage small team of Data Stewards who are all dedicated to WalletShare data processing and delivery. 

  • Work very closely with the technology teams (dedicated to the WalletShare business) that process and deliver the data to clients. 

  • Act as the point person for all WalletShare clients related to data ingestion and data delivery. Create and implement specific plans with each client to ensure a high level of consistent and on-time data contribution 

  • Act as the lead to migrate the current processing of data which is currently quarterly to a monthly process as automated as possible. 

  • Focus an efficiency and automation of processes for data validation as an initial and ongoing top priority. 

  • Create enhancement, bug fix and automation requirements and work to implement those with the technology and other internal teams using our agile development framework. 

  • Coordinate as needed with other internal WalletShare teams including the Product, Client Service, Analytics, Consulting, senior management and SalesConnect team.

“SS&C Technologies Inc., a world leading provider of comprehensive financial management systems and services is looking for an experienced individual to join the firm's WalletShare team in the role of Data Operations Manager.  

  • The Data Operations Manager will have extensive experience in financial services data operations leading data and operations teams while collaborating closely with IT. 

  • The candidate will have measureable experience in the automation of existing processes that produced on time delivery of data to clients. 

  • The successful candidate must possess very strong operational and communication skills to coordinate with the IT, analytics and product teams. 

  • Management experience of a data operations team is necessary. Importantly this role will interface extensively with the data and business intelligence teams of the SS&C client base to ensure data provided and processed is on time and complete.  The candidate needs to have extensive experience working closely with external customers. 

  • Knowledge and experience in the financial intermediary space working with asset management clients is a plus. 

  • Additionally, the Data Operations Manager plays a key leadership role in industry level discussions to identify best practices and continuously evolve the service to meet the needs of our clients. 
     

Requirements: 

  •  Bachelor's degree and 10 years of work-related experience, MBA a plus. 
  • Must have experience as a operations manager working with large volumes of data from a myriad of databases and outputs 

  • Measurable experience in the automation and streamlining of existing data processes  

  • Must have experience in financial Industry services industry  

  • Experience in managing a small team 

  • A passion for continuous learning as well as the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills. 

  • Flexibility/Ability to be proactive, possesses good problem solving skills and the capability to find solutions and the ability to successfully meet deadlines 

 

 Services has grown by over 20% per year for the past 2 years. Clients have requests a more frequent update of mutual fund data in WalletShare, therefore the team is migrating the quarterly processing to monthly. This new role needs to lead the transition and automation of existing processes to get to launch in '24 and continue to refine the process to become continually more efficient over time.

  • You will have experience developing and executing product strategy, messaging, and launch of products and solutions that support the company's overall strategy and goals. Has a strong understanding of customers' needs, the competitive environment-including our position in relation to competitors-, and the market forces required to launch a successful product solution. 

  • You will have analyzed experience in market opportunity, anticipates industry direction, evaluates the feasibility and financial justification for new products and/or new releases of existing products, and identifies requirements for future and current products in the context of the company's strengths and capabilities, technologies, quality, costs, customer interactions, and marketplace demands. Defines target prospects and assists sales in lead generation. 

  • You will also have experience overseeing the product life cycle from conception through retirement. Works closely with functional teams, including technical architecture and development teams, to ensure that appropriate processes are being adhered to in order to meet financial, timing, and customer expectations. Possesses knowledge of overall product development processes and marketing strategy and has analysis/project management mindsets to thrive in a demanding environment. Leader of professionals or first-level leaders working on issues of a diverse scope or coordinating department activities. 

  • Education and Experience Requirements:  

  • Establishes procedures and recommends changes to policies. 

  • Minimally requires a Master's degree and 4 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience, or high school degree and 8 years of related experience.

NY: Salary range for the position: 130000 USD to 165000 USD. Other States Salary range for the position: 110000 USD to 165000 USD.
