SS&C is the largest global investor service provider, servicing more than 55 million investors. Continually investing in global technology and services across the spectrum of distribution channels including: Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and large financial institutions such as Banks and Insurers. Investor servicing is offered in many different countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. SS&C also services mutual fund structures in many other fund domiciles.

Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Investor Services to work primarily with one of our major clients within our GIDS business. Your main remit will be to ensure the delivery of this service to our client.

This position will require extensive interaction with stakeholders and colleagues across both our client and SS&C. This will include the management of a team covering Investor Servicing, Investor Experiences and Investor Processing.

Another key feature will include designing customer journeys, as well as establishing and managing the operational model to ensure investors receive the desired quality of service.  An important element of the role will be to drive innovation working with other stakeholders within the business. The role will also require the successful candidate to embed a culture of putting the investor first and exceptionally high-performance standards. 

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee the adequacy and soundness of Compliance and Operational Risk across the TA team. 
• Lead by example ensuring appropriate standards of culture and conduct are instilled throughout the business. 
• Embed a culture of exceptionally high standards and performance.
• Drive investigation and resolution of operational issues ensuring action taken to prevent occurrence, restoring confidence and enhancing or establishing best practice.
• Take ownership through to remediation of any control related issues identified by Internal Audit, Compliance, Investors, or other stakeholders.
• In line with Company standards, ensure that from an end-to-end perspective there is a robust resilience process in place that is regularly tested.
• To effectively plan the way services are delivered so that all activity is directly related to providing quality services and meeting both internal and external expectations.
• Develop plans on succession to ensure the right management talent is in place to support the business strategy.
• Transform the current service into the desired service, taking care to ensure operational and technical requirements, readiness and business testing are appropriately completed.

Your Experience

• Proven track record of leading within an operational/client service environment.
• Industry experience in Financial Services, Asset Management or Funds.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop strong exec level working relationships both internally and externally
• Excellent people management skills and demonstrates natural leadership 
• Can demonstrate a high degree of autonomy at exec level and can work on a stand-alone basis. 
• Experience of a matrix reporting structure is desirable
• An understanding of the global TA market
• Highly commercial mindset and awareness
