All participants will be required to spend 12-weeks participating in an immersive training program at an SS&C Office Location in Jacksonville, FL. Corporate Housing will be provided for those participants not local to the Jacksonville, FL Area. Upon completion of the Launch program and if in good standing, the final placement will be hybrid in one of SS&C's US offices or remote. Office locations could include: Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Denver, CO, Dublin, OH, Evansville, IN, Irving, TX, Jacksonville, FL, Los Angeles, CA, New York City, NY, San Francisco, CA, Union, NJ, Windsor, CT.
10-week training program will begin on July 10th, depending on travel requirements and run through August 31st, 2023.
About the SS&C University Launch Program:
The SS&C University Launch program seamlessly transitions college graduates from their college years to the start of their career. The Launch Program is designed to provide entry-level hires with a cross-functional perspective of the organization and a strong skills foundation to succeed at SS&C.
The goal of SS&C's Launch program is to expose recent high-potential graduates to multiple aspects of the software engineering or financial services business segments with the hopes that they will advance in the future to lead across their respective functional areas. Upon completion of the program, participants assume full-time positions within the organization. Placement is dependent on performance during the program and interviews with the respective hiring managers in the second half of the program.
The Launch program brings elected candidates through a 12-week all-expense paid immersive training. In addition to project-based assignments, participants spend several weeks in each of the key functional areas of the respective business segment helping to solve business challenges. They also participate in professional development opportunities which will build a strong skills foundation and provide ample networking opportunities along with exposure to executives.
Launch Description and Requirements – Fund Accounting, Operations and Investor Services:
Obtain exposure to accounting, valuations, investor services and insurance in SS&C Hedge Fund Services, Private Markets, and Insurance Services Groups. Gain exposure into: middle office services, transaction processing, proper application of accounting principles to complex transactions, financial reporting, pricing of complex securities, and much more. Upon completion and if in good standing, candidates are assigned to a department as a Fund Accountant, Operations Specialist, Valuations Specialist,Investor Services Associate, or Insurance Accountant.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong skills in client service
- Working independently within a team toward timely and accurate production of client deliverables
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Robust academic foundation in financial accounting.
What format are the courses in?
The Launch program is conducted via live in-person and virtual trainings. Participants have the opportunity to put into practice what they learned throughout the live sessions and the eLearning sessions.
