Graduate CASS Governance, Oversight & Audit 

Location: SS&C House, Basildon 

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, full-time)

If you're interested in regulation, risk, and governance—and want to build a career in a high-impact area of financial services—this is the role for you. Join our CASS (Client Assets Sourcebook) Office and help us make sure SS&C meets its FCA responsibilities while learning the ins and outs of financial compliance, audit coordination, and stakeholder engagement. 

 

CASS (Client Assets Sourcebook) is a set of rules issued by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to ensure firms properly protect and segregate client money and assets. 

 

What you'll be doing: 

  • Support the CASS Office in making sure the business follows FCA rules 

  • Help coordinate internal and external audits 

  • Assist with CASS training sessions, breach management and governance activities 

  • Work alongside the client relationship team to support operational queries and oversight visits 

  • Produce reports, dashboards and MI (management information) to track performance 

  • Be part of assurance activities and our internal SME (subject matter expert) network 

 

What you'll bring: 

  • Degree Requirement: 2:2 or above in any subject - Business, Law, Finance or related fields ideal graduating this year or 2024. 

  • A strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset 

  • Clear, confident communication skills 

  • A collaborative approach—you'll work with teams across the business 

  • Confidence to ask questions, challenge the status quo and suggest improvements 

  • A good grasp of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

  • An interest in regulation, risk, or operational governance 

Your first 6–12 months: 

You'll get involved straight away with real work—from supporting audits to helping track breaches and learning how we train the wider business on CASS responsibilities. As you grow in the role, you'll begin to take more ownership and contribute to shaping how we do things better.
