Based in Luxembourg, this individual will lead the team of Compliance professionals supporting SS&C Administration Services SA (‘SS&C') as a PSF / Fund Administrator.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working senior profile to cover the role of Head of Compliance Officer. This individual will manage a team consisting of other Compliance team members including the MLRO, local Risk Manager, and Data Privacy Officer. The Head of Compliance will work closely with location Senior Management, as well as business and operation teams at SS&C.
The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, good judgment, strong experience in the relevant fields of Compliance, Risk Management, Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), Counter-Terrorist Financing (“CTF”) and sanctions in the financial services industry, and with demonstrable ability to effectively and proactively engage and partner with the business in a fast-paced and engaging environment.

What you will get to do:
Reporting to the European Head of Risk & Compliance, the successful applicant will actively manage and take responsibility for the second line function for the location:
- Be the primary contact for the CSSF, FIU, and any other supervisory authority
- Drive the Compliance culture of adherence to regulation and policy
- Advise senior management of compliance risks and assist them in mitigating and monitoring these risks
- Maintain the internal compliance policies including the compliance charter, compliance policy, and AML policy and ensure that all policies are available to staff.
- Monitor the implementation and application of the compliance policies through a monitoring and testing program
- Oversee the assessment and completion of the annual compliance and AML risk assessments
- Provide regular reporting to senior management, the Board of Directors, and the CSSF, where required.
- Work closely with Risk and Internal Audit on issues or investigations, where required
- Create training materials for staff awareness and provide classroom training, when required
- Set SMART objectives for staff performance and evaluate staff during periodic assessments
- Engage in promotion and succession planning with other SS&C senior managers.
- Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments by being active in industry forums. Promote the SS&C business at industry events.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholder and client Compliance Officers to facilitate ongoing business and compliance with regulation.
- Manage and oversee the work of the overall Risk and Compliance team
- Ensure the Company's compliance with regard to required regulation and legislation..
- Work with the wider European Risk & Compliance teams in building-out a consistent second line of defence oversight model for the Luxembourg business.
- Conduct second line oversight due diligence review on strategic business partners (outsourced locations) to evaluate potential AML/Sanctions /CTF risks.
What you will bring:
- Degree and appropriate professional qualifications within a Financial/ Business or Law discipline.
- 5-10 years relevant experience in a Fund-related company.
- Strong Luxembourg regulatory knowledge
- Detailed knowledge of the Luxembourg Funds Industry in regard to regulatory requirements for a service provider (PSF) and / or Luxembourg Funds.
- Strong presentation skills and commitment to delivering quality at all times.
- Strong investigative skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage up to senior management in other time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience in strategic planning
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
- Working language English with a fluency in French being preferable
