Role: Quality Analyst

Locations: Bellville, Cape Town, South Africa

Hybrid: 6 days a month travel to office

The Opportunity

Working collaboratively as part of an Agile team, the Quality Analyst leverages operational reporting and established control frameworks to identify, validate, and monitor process, quality, and compliance risks across the business. This role partners with operational leaders to provide governance and oversight of remediation activities, ensuring identified control gaps are tracked, communicated, and addressed within agreed timelines. By gaining hands-on experience with control processes and collaborating closely with Intelligent Automation teams, the Quality Analyst helps define business requirements for future automated solutions, including reporting, dashboards, workflow orchestration, feedback loops, and escalation mechanisms.

As their understanding of the control environment matures, they will work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for additional controls, metrics, and reporting where gaps exist today, helping define and incorporate these capabilities into the team's control management lifecycle and solution development process. This role serves as a key bridge between business operations and automation delivery teams, driving continuous improvement, accountability, and long-term control effectiveness.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Monitor operational controls, reports, scans, and workflow outputs to identify potential process, quality, compliance, and service delivery risks
  • Analyse data, trends, and anomalies to detect control gaps, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions that improve operational performance
  • Partner with operational leaders to validate identified issues, establish visibility into remediation plans, and maintain oversight through closure
  • Track remediation progress, monitor adherence to agreed commitments, and escalate ageing, at-risk, or unresolved actions to appropriate stakeholders or leaders
  • Perform hands-on execution and analysis of control activities to develop a deep understanding of business processes, risks, and operational dependencies
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for new controls, metrics, reporting, and governance processes where gaps exist today
  • Leverage AI, analytics, and emerging technologies to strengthen operational controls, improve scalability, increase efficiency, and enhance client and participant outcomes
  • Translate business challenges and manual processes into clear requirements for dashboards, workflow orchestration, reporting, feedback mechanisms, and future automation solutions
  • Work closely with operational leaders, process engineers, and Intelligent Automation teams in an Agile environment to drive continuous improvement and sustainable process optimisation
  • Maintain a strong understanding of business processes, system capabilities, industry practices, and organisational workflows to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimally possess a Master's degree, or a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or a high school degree and 5 years of related experience
  • Be a results-oriented individual with proven ability to operate independently and as a team player. With a demonstrated track record of success working within a fast-paced, complex and matrixed organisation
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including leadership-level reporting and presentations
  • Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify risks, trends, and control gaps
  • Have the ability to interpret data and reporting to drive informed decision-making and operational improvements
  • Bring with them a foundational understanding of operational controls, risk management, and governance best practices
    • Experience documenting, mapping, and evaluating end-to-end business processes is a plus
  • Drive accountability and follow-through across stakeholders without direct authority
  • Translate business challenges into clear requirements for process improvements and automation solutions
  • Have a working knowledge of continuous improvement, process re-engineering, and intelligent automation principles
  • Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and remediation efforts simultaneously
  • Operate with a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across business, operational, and technology teams in an Agile environment
