Senior Solution Consultant

Locations: Remote US

About the Role

The Senior Solution Consultant serves as a strategic healthcare technology advisor responsible for helping health plans, PBMs, TPAs, employers, and healthcare organizations solve complex business challenges through SS&C Health's portfolio of software, services, and automation solutions.

This individual partners closely with Sales, Product Management, Client Success, and Delivery teams throughout the sales lifecycle to understand client objectives, shape solution strategies, demonstrate business value, and develop winning proposals. The ideal candidate combines deep healthcare industry expertise with strong business acumen, executive communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes.

How You Will Make an Impact 

Solution Strategy

  • Lead discovery sessions with executive and operational stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, business challenges, and technical requirements.
  • Design integrated solution strategies leveraging the full SS&C Health portfolio, including medical claims administration, pharmacy administration, care management, interoperability, digital engagement, payment integrity, AI, and intelligent automation.
  • Develop differentiated solution approaches that align with client business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Position SS&C Health as a trusted strategic partner rather than a software vendor.

Sales Partnership

  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Qualify opportunities and assess strategic fit.
  • Lead solution presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and executive briefings.
  • Support RFP responses, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Help develop account strategies that maximize long-term growth opportunities.

Executive Client Engagement

  • Build credibility with executive leaders including CIOs, COOs, CEOs, Chief Product Officers, Chief Pharmacy Officers, and business leaders.
  • Facilitate strategic conversations around healthcare transformation, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, AI adoption, and digital modernization.
  • Communicate complex concepts in a clear, business-focused manner.

Solution Development

  • Collaborate with Product Management to align client requirements with current and future product capabilities.
  • Work closely with implementation, engineering, and operations teams to validate solution feasibility.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and influence future product direction based on market feedback.

Thought Leadership

  • Stay current on healthcare industry trends including:
    • Medicare and Medicaid
    • Commercial health plans
    • Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
    • CMS regulations
    • Interoperability
    • AI and intelligent automation
    • Digital health
  • Represent SS&C Health at conferences, client events, webinars, and executive forums.
  • Develop reusable solution content, presentations, and best practices.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of healthcare technology or healthcare consulting experience.
  • 5+ years supporting enterprise software sales or solution consulting.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more healthcare domains including:
    • Health plan administration
    • Pharmacy benefit management
    • Medical claims
    • Care management
    • Population health
    • Healthcare operations
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

What Sets You Apart (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience working with national or regional health plans.
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and APIs.
  • Knowledge of AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives within healthcare.
  • Experience with SaaS and enterprise healthcare platforms.
  • MBA or Master's degree.
