This role partners closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and system integration teams across multiple geographies to ensure all documentation is consistent, correct, and aligned with SS&C standards.

    • User guides and product manuals
    • Release notes
    • Architecture and system-overview documents
    • Operational runbooks and support guides
  • Translate complex technical information into easily understandable language for different audiences: developers, business stakeholders, product teams, and clients.

2. Documentation Management

  • Own and maintain the documentation repository for the Digital team.
  • Ensure documentation is versioned, current, and consistent across platforms.
  • Establish and maintain content standards, templates, and style guides for the Digital organisation.
  • Work with engineering and product to ensure documentation is updated as part of the release lifecycle.

3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, integration engineers, UX/UI designers, and QA to gather information.
  • Participate in ceremonies (refinement, sprint reviews, demos) to stay aligned with upcoming features and changes.
  • Collaborate globally across UK, India, Romania, and Australia teams to standardise documentation practices.
  • 4. Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all documentation meets internal quality standards and audit/compliance requirements for financial services.
  • Validate technical accuracy by reviewing documentation with engineering leads and architects.
  • Ensure sensitive financial information is documented appropriately according to regulatory standards.

5. Tools & Publishing

  • Use and maintain modern documentation tools such as Confluence, Markdown-based systems, Git repos, or documentation platforms (e.g., SwaggerHub, Stoplight, Notion).
  • Support the creation of diagrams using UML, sequence diagrams, technical workflows, and product visuals.
  • Provide documentation support for Digital product launches, client onboarding, and technical integration packs.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to understand and explain:
    • APIs
    • Data flows
    • Integration patterns
    • System behaviour
    • Front-end and back-end application interactions
  • Capable of interpreting engineering content such as logs, payloads, schemas, or architectural diagrams.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts without losing accuracy.
  • Strong collaboration skills across distributed engineering teams.
