Overview
The Administrative Services Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Hearings Examiner. This position will support the day to day operation of the Agency of Transporation (AOT) Hearings Section.
Duties include:
- Processing incoming correspondence
- Answering phones/messages
- Providing assistance to the general public as needed
This position will also perform certain tasks under the direction of a Hearings Examiner, including complaint intake, identifying and reviewing relevant documents for hearing, preparing exhibits, scheduling proceedings with all parties utilizing MS Outlook, issuing notices to petitioners, and opening and closing case files. A high level of confidentiality is required.
Who May ApplyThis position, Administrative Services Coordinator I - Temporary (Job Requisition #54456), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Minimum QualificationsTwo (2) years or more of full-time college coursework OR an Associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field.
OR
One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Technician IV with the State of Vermont.
Special RequirementsFor some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
