Overview
The Agency of Transportation is seeking an AOT Manager to lead a small team of data professionals responsible for crash data analysis, visualization, reporting, collection, quality control, and data management. This work plays a critical role in improving the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of crash data used to inform transportation safety decisions across the state.
In this role, the Manager will support and guide the Crash Data Unit while ensuring federal requirements are met and stakeholder needs are addressed. The position balances people leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day analytical work, helping ensure that analysis tools and related programs are operating effectively and producing meaningful results. The Manager will also contribute to the continued growth and improvement of crash data programs through stakeholder engagement and thoughtful program development.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience in data analytics is preferred, along with a willingness to learn and strengthen crash-related programs to improve data collection, analysis, and visualization over time.
Most work is performed in an office environment, with occasional field work as needed. Telework and alternative work schedules may be available in accordance with current State policy.

Duties are performed in office and field settings. Incumbents should possess private means of transportation. Attendance at public meetings and hearings is required. Evening or weekend work may be required.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate Degree AND four (4) years or more of management experience in one or more the following areas (a) development of program rules and policies; (b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans: (c) program evaluation; or (d) budget preparation OR highway maintenance, engineering, construction, planning or a combination thereof.

High school diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years or more of management experience in one or more the following areas (a) development of program rules and policies; (b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans: (c) program evaluation; or (d) budget preparation OR highway maintenance, engineering, construction, planning or a combination thereof.
Special RequirementsSome positions may require registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
