Shift: FT/Nights (rotating weekends)

Clinical Nurse Coordinator provides clinical management to the department through organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the care provided. Assumes twenty-four hour accountability in absence of Director. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the care of patients of target units. The CNC delegates duties consistent with the scope of practice and function within the philosophy and overall plan of care at SMC.

Qualifications - External

Position Requirements: 

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  

  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse License (may work on a current RN compact license for the first 180 days of employment). 
  •  Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), TNCC or TNS, and ENPC or PALS (AHA).

Education:                                           

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor Science Nursing or actively pursuing with completion within 3 years of hire required.

Experience:  

  • Two to four years acute care / specialty nursing is desirable.
  • One to three years experience in charge / supervisory position desirable.
  • Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

Demonstrates good organizational skills, ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing services.
