POSITION PURPOSE

 

The Store Operations Specialist oversees the planning, scheduling, and construction for store development projects. This position serves as the main point of contact for Wireless Zone franchisees, TCC Corporate personnel, and all applicable field teams and vendors associated with store construction projects and product roll outs. This position maintains a focus on operational and brand compliance with consistent project execution while providing ongoing technical training and support to new and existing locations for all in-store merchandising elements and digital media.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  • Store Setup Responsible for all aspects of new and existing store setup and merchandising in accordance with corporate and Verizon Brand standards. Gathers and analyzes project information. Uses analytical reports to set and monitor schedules. Ensures that scheduling of work follows company policy.
  • Corporate Liaison Assist in communications between the Franchisee, Field Team Leadership, external vendors, and internal departments to assure a smooth flow of information keeping projects on track while working to avoid potential delays. Monitor and document progress through each stage of the project and provide detailed reports upon project completion.
  • Store Merchandising Maintain the standards established for product merchandising at all retail outlets. Meet regularly with Supervisor to remain current with product updates and merchandising ideas. Develops documents that eliminate potential design issues and problems.
  • Computer Systems Must be proficient in the use of all computer systems provided by the Company for use by our franchisees and licensees, including but not limited to point-of-sale systems, digital media players, on-line ordering and the Company's intranet.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 4-6 years retail construction experience
  • 1-3 years retail construction experience
  • Clear and effective written, verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

 

  • Reads and interprets documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.  Routinely writes detailed reports and correspondence and responds to questions and/or complaints. Routinely presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers (may include Top Management) clients, customers, and the general public

 

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY:

 

  • Routinely analyzes and defines problems, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions.  Able to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.). Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions/information in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and non-concrete variables.

 

DECISION MAKING & IMPACT OF ERRORS

  • Management – Makes decisions daily on use of resources, performance, and budgets and in support of the organization's strategic direction. Decisions could require additional expenditure of resources if not sound decisions. Decisions tend to be short term (one year to three years) and usually moderate to high cost.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to stand and/or walk over 70% of the time.
  • Able to sit within an office environment approximately 30% of the time.
  • Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Travels more than 50% of the time, including overnight.
