Your Role:
Develop and evaluate system concepts and options to determine best design and engineering solution for each project based upon project scope
Provide quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings, ensuring accuracy, compliance and adherence to standards
Develop design drawings and specifications of fire protection systems for high-rise residential, hotel, and office buildings including preparation of all engineering calculations, equipment selection and layout throughout life of the project
Lead and coordinate with engineers, designers, technicians and clerical staff
Interface with clients and architects to discuss changes to designs and/or specifications
Work with leadership to manage design people power budget and update budget to reflect revisions or changes in scope
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns

Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
5+ years of fire protection design and management experience
Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of fire protection systems, code compliance requirements and industry standards
Strong technical skills, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Project and client relationship management experience is preferred
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software
Proficient with hydraulic calculation software such as HASS.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
PE registration is preferred

Compensation:
Pay commensurate with experience.
Pay Range: $100,000 - 140,000 annually
