Description

You will join a small but dynamic team based in the UK but be part of a Global IT team that services internal customers around the world. The individual will report to the UK IT Service Delivery Manager. This is a standard 37½ hr working week providing support across business hours 8:00am to 5:30pm Mon – Fri. An element of flexibility is required for occasional out of hours work and UK office visits on a rotational basis. The individual must be willing to obtain SC Security Clearance level.

We offer a hybrid working environment allowing you to work from any of our Tetra Tech UK offices or from home. There is a requirement for occasional team face to face days, usually held in the Tetra Tech Leeds office.

 

The successful candidate will possess strong people skills and have a methodical troubleshooting approach to IT incident management, have experience of resolving issues on multiple technologies and adhere to process and procedure and hold effective triage/workload/time-management.

 

Ability to work effectively and produce consistent results in a close-knit team as well as independently. An organised individual with the ability to prioritise workload and to take ownership and manage issues to resolution.

 

Experience of supporting VMware Horizon environments including recomposing linked clone pools, updating golden images, troubleshooting connection issues and basic administration is desired.

 

Key Accountabilities

Providing customer support and help on all IT related queries 

  • Compliance with Tetra Tech IT policies, procedures and processes
  • Managing customer queries from phone, portal, Teams chat and other communication methods
  • Logging of all IT request into the Cherwell ITSM Tool
  • Accurately identify and analyse service requests and incidents related to the use of IT services
  • Able to operate in a fast changing, priority shifting environment
  • Assist customers with the aim to resolve incidents and/or requests as quickly as possible
  • Be able to communicate with people at all levels and technical ability
  • Proactive management of requests and incidents so that they are progressed to resolution within agreed timescales, escalating where necessary
  • Keep up to date with IT developments to improve client service.
  • Contribute technical information and know-how with the global IT Team via the IT knowledgebase.
  • Logging calls with external support suppliers such as Dell
  • Troubleshooting issues with technical software titles such as AutoDesk, Bentley, Leica
  • Troubleshooting SCCM software deployment issues
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as when it is required by the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A-Levels or equivalent IT Related qualifications desired
  • Accreditations in any Microsoft technology especially MCP would be useful
  • Awareness of ITIL Framework
