Tetra Tech's commitment to hiring the best talent in the industry and helping them thrive professionally is stronger than ever. We are currently seeking a motivated Offshore Wind Energy Project Manager.


The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with an energy background and offshore project experience, project management skills, and a clear ability to manage client relationships, both internally and externally. Experience managing major projects with large, complex project teams is preferred. Experience with permitting such as NEPA/Federal or state permitting, power generation, subsea or offshore infrastructure, and/or renewable energy is desired.  The ideal candidate will be adept at technical problem solving, with the ability to tackle complex and/or multi-disciplinary tasks to identify and optimize workflows and manage sub-tasks to achieve unique project goals.



  • Manage aggressive timelines for large, complex projects being planned in offshore and coastal settings.
  • Review and understand project milestones, address critical issues and risks and be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Proactively evaluate risk associated with project strategies, project changes and regulatory agency interactions.
  • Capitalize on existing client relationships to capture additional opportunities for energy projects.
  • Work with current staff in the support of a variety of projects.
  • Technical writing for reports and filings.
  • Help to identify potential project task leads and participate in the preparation of proposals, budgets, and plans of work.
  • Ability to work on projects in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Virginia.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 3 or more years of professional experience with a pattern of progressive and project achievements.
  • Project background especially in a marine/coastal/offshore setting.
  • Demonstrated success leveraging project management skills, especially leading teams in diverse locations and across multiple skillsets or specializations.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills required along with public presentation skills required.
  • Applied knowledge of offshore biological, physical, and cultural resources
  • Familiarity with charting/mapping of projects and constraints using ArcGIS.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a marine science, engineering, or MBA
  • Business Development experience.
