Description

Tetra Tech AMT is looking for an Aviation Noise Program Analyst.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) receives numerous noise complaints/inquiries each month that must be addressed.  To improve the process of the complaints the FAA receives and to bring consistency to responses, the FAA addresses noise complaints/inquires through the Aviation Noise Complaint Inquiry Response (ANCIR) Initiative. The ANCIR portal provides the public with an avenue to submit noise complaints directly to the FAA. The FAA must then address and respond to those complaints that are entered into the system or received through other FAA channels.

This position will provide contractual support to specific FAA regions in support of community engagement activities and the ANCIR. The program analyst will support the processing of noise complaints/inquiries, help develop noise complaints' responses, develop regional data reports, and other elements of the noise project as needed.

Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Address Noise Complaints for five FAA regions. This includes working across FAA Lines of Business (LOBs) and Staff Offices to gain information needed for a response, reviewing and editing responses for final submission, and using final response templates to formulate and submit responses
  • Log and Assign Noise Complaints.  This includes processing complaints received through other FAA channels including email, phone, and congressional correspondence.  For complaints sent though the ANCIR, the program analyst will review the complaint and assign it to the appropriate line of business or staff-office for review and a final response
  • Provide Complaint Reports.  This includes noise complaint status reports, trend reports, and regional noise data reports as assigned by regional management staff.  This may also include reports to support internal and external regional noise-related meetings
  • Meeting Support. This includes supporting ANCIR workgroup meetings, regional noise complaint/inquiry staff meetings, internal staff meetings, service center noise complaint meetings and any Ad Hoc noise-related meetings as requested. This may also include developing topics for discussion related to the ANCIR, the noise process and the noise project development, providing updates/suggestions and information on any noise related issues/concerns, and managing meetings' action items
  • Process Improvement. This includes working with other regional support to identify ways to improve the noise project process, response time, and reporting
The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience performing qualitative and quantitative analyses, including, but not limited to, project planning and execution, life cycle acquisition planning and management, risk analysis and mitigation plan development
  • Experience with program planning; preparation and analysis of program related data; review of program status; preparation of reports; coordinating, scheduling, and arranging meetings; preparation of materials for program briefings and presentations; program coordination with FAA Headquarters and regional office personnel, and facility personnel; conduct of program and project control processes
  • A bachelor's degree
