We are currently seeking a Remediation Engineer/Geologist with outstanding technical capabilities to grow their career with Tetra Tech. Our projects involve complex site investigations coupled with the application of innovative site remediation technologies.

 

The selected individual will report to senior personnel but will be expected to work largely independently, while following Tetra Tech's risk and quality management policies. At times, the selected individual may delegate assignments to junior personnel and be responsible for overseeing completion of tasks within budgetary, schedule, and other internal and external constraints.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

·         Performing groundwater monitoring and free product recovery.

·         Performing soil investigations.

·         Groundwater and soil vapor well installations and abandonments.

·         Supporting the evaluation, design, and implementation of a variety of site remediation technologies.

·         Managing, operating and maintaining remediation systems.

·         Subcontractor coordination and field oversight.

·         Data evaluation and report preparation.

·         Scoping and delivering a variety of project assignments, including responsibility for budget and schedule management.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or geology with three to eight years of directly relevant work experience.

·         Master's degree in environmental engineering with a focus on remediation is preferred.

·         3 to 8+ years of direct relevant work experience.

·         Demonstrated experience performing evaluation, design, and implementation of a variety of site remediation technologies is required. Remediation experience dealing with petroleum hydrocarbons is preferred.

·         Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel, including occasionally working long hours in the field under potentially adverse conditions.

·         Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word).

·         Highly motivated, detail-oriented, resourceful, and organized individual with strong planning and time management skills.

·         Current 40 hr. HAZWOPER training required, including records documenting original training and refreshers.

·         Familiarity with permitting and technical requirements for site investigation and remediation in Colorado, including experience with the Colorado Division of Water Resources and the Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission is desired.

·         OSHA 30 hr. construction safety training, Safeland training, first aid training, and CPR training are desired.

·         A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

·         Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000 yr.

 

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
