Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building is hiring a Senior CADD Designer. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing construction project design support. Typical projects include a wide variety of federal, industrial and commercial projects involving site layout and design, stormwater management, green infrastructure and water/wastewater collection and conveyance systems. 

Additional Locations:  Huntsville, AL / Cincinnati, OH / Virginia Beach, VA / Detroit, MI / Will consider other locations as well.
 
Your Responsibilities will Include:

  • Preparing construction documents, including plans, sections, and detailed drawings.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, including but not limited to structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with team members across disciplines and offices.
  • Creating civil engineering designs for roadways, site development, water and sewage lines, drainage and land grading for large commercial developments and federal facilities.
  • Consulting with clients and members of the design and construction teams to discuss specifications.
  • Creating Models or proposed designs using Civil 3D CAD software.
  • Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of design experience in construction and pipeline projects and preparing construction documents for land development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Able to generate profiles, creating and manipulating surfaces, using pressure pipe networks.
  • Experience in civil / site drafting and design for site development, underground utilities, stormwater management systems and roadways.
  • Ability to lead production staff to complete deliverables on time.
  • Have strong knowledge of industry, engineering standards, mathematics, and construction materials.
  • Position open to U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Infraworks, AutoCAD Stormwater Analysis, and BIM is considered a plus.
  • Proficient in using advanced AutoCAD functions, including Sheet Set Manager, Xref Manager, Tool Palettes, and Design Center preferred.
