Description

The Brand Experience Officer plays a key role in delivering marketing and revenue-generating activities across the Marketing & Communications team, with a focus on TNC's signature engagement experiences. Bringing a mix of proven skills and a curious, can-do mindset, they'll help shape and run events, enhance digital donor journeys, support lead generation efforts, and contribute to compelling experiences like webinars, podcasts, donor events and field trips. 

This role also involves tracking project performance, analysing data, helping produce promotional materials, and supporting targeted campaigns. As the go-to contact for marketing-related queries, the Officer will build strong connections across the organisation. The position reports to the Associate Director, Brand Strategy. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

 

The Brand Experience Officer supports the marketing, communication, events and donor stewardship functions, which involves administration, project management and coordination across all programs. This position will work across the full spectrum of marketing, communications, events and fundraising with core responsibilities being: 

Content Creation & Digital Marketing 

  • Work with Associate Director of Brand Strategy on execution of TNC's content strategy through the development of content for use across the website, social media, email campaigns, and newsletters. 

  • Design of collateral and editing of videos, working with team members as needed 

  • Create presentations, marketing collateral, and internal/external documents as needed. 

Collateral & Merchandise Management 

  • Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of marketing materials. 

  • Manage inventory and fulfilment of TNC-branded merchandise for events and supporter engagement. 

Event & Engagement Coordination 

  • Support logistics for events, donor field trips, and speaking engagements under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager. 

  • Liaise with internal teams across Oceania and external vendors to ensure events are executed smoothly and on-brand. 

Media Support 

  • Work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to draft and distribute media releases, manage media lists, and track coverage. 

  • Support media monitoring using the Meltwater platform and assist with media-related admin. 

Administrative Support 

  • Manage and monitor shared marketing inboxes (4 total), triaging and responding or escalating as appropriate. 

  • Working with the Development Communications Manager on Content Library updates and additions. 

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Associate Director of Brand Strategy and Director of Marketing & Communications as required. 

Cross-Functional Team Support 

  • Provide digital support to the Digital Marketing Manager as needed, including scheduling posts, reporting, and basic content updates. 

  • Assist the Development Communications Manager on donor-related content and campaign execution as required. 

 

The Brand Experience Officer will work across multiple projects at the same time, and will work closely with other team members on digital, media, events and donor facing activity. They will receive support, training, mentoring and growth opportunities. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE 

 

  • Coordinates diverse projects and manages timelines. 

  • Duties are performed under general supervision and established workplans. 

  • Works within a budget to complete assigned projects or work. 

  • Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks. 

  • Works with vendors/other parties to execute projects/deliverables. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Fundraising or related field and a minimum of 2 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Experience organising and coordinating projects. 

  • Experience writing, editing and proofreading. 

  • Experience working across digital channels and tracking/analysis software 

 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Multi-lingual skills appreciated. 

  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred. 

  • Solid knowledge of database management and spreadsheet software, with ability to construct and produce reports. 

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Basic application knowledge of project management principles. 

  • Experience in video editing and digital content creation. 

  • Practical application of marketing concepts. 

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with internal and external partners. 

  • Practical experience of social media platforms
