Description
Main Function:
- Provides high quality, evidence-based obstetric and gynecologic care within the inpatient setting
- Ensures excellent clinical outcomes while fostering a patient-centered, cohesive, and efficient care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated expertise in obstetrical and gynecological inpatient care
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with clinicians, hospital staff, and leadership
- Ability to lead in high-stress and emergency situations
- Proficiency in evidence-based clinical decision-making
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff
- Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance
- Generates accurate, timely (within 2 business days) documentation sufficient for regulatory, clinical, and billing needs.
- Responsible for ensuring all professional licenses, registrations, liability insurance education and renewal requirements and applicable physician certifications are up to date and current as required for employment.
Shift: Per Diem 24 hour call shifts 7a-7a
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Unrestricted New York State Medical License
- Active DEA license
- Able to gain appropriate FFTH Medical Staff privileges
Experience:
- 1-3 years of hospitalist or OB/GYN experience preferred
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO required)
- Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency program
- CME participation per board requirements
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred
- Current BLS certification
- NRP Certification Required
