POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Front Office plays a key leadership role in ensuring seamless guest experiences by overseeing the daily operations of the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader with a commitment to service excellence, team development, and brand alignment. This leader will champion Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) and Forbes Travel Guide standards, instill accountability across departments, and drive a culture of operational excellence. The Director of Front Office works closely with the Director of Rooms to deliver exceptional service while supporting staff performance and ensuring guest satisfaction in every interaction.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversee daily operations of Front Office and Housekeeping, ensuring service excellence and cross-departmental coordination.
Develop, implement, and continually improve departmental (Standard Operating Procedures) SOPs in alignment with LQA and Forbes standards.
Ensure guest inquiries and service issues are promptly addressed.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards.
Monitor room inventory and occupancy to maximize efficiency and revenue.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experience, communication, and operation integration.
Enforce safety, health, and security protocols.
Resolve guest complaints and service issues with professionalism and urgency.
Lead regular quality assurance assessments and implement necessary corrective measures.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and luxury service excellence.
Provide daily coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Support recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of departmental staff.
Assist the Director of Rooms with operational planning, reporting, audits, and execution of long-term departmental initiatives.
Oversee labor forecasting, budget compliance, inventory, and departmental documentation.
Analyze guest feedback and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Lead special projects, and take on cross-functional responsibilities as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in hotel operations, preferably in Front Office or Housekeeping leadership.
Luxury or upscale hotel background strongly preferred.
Proficient in hotel property management systems (PMS).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and general administrative systems.
Familiarity with scheduling, auditing, and operational reporting systems.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Leadership presence with a guest-centric, solution-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods.
Occasional lifting and movement of light materials as needed
Hotel Granduca Houston operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, scheduling may vary based on operational needs, including shifts, starting times, and total hours worked per week.
